TAME AIRLINES joins ARC as participating carrier via APG’S AACP program.03 March 2013 00:00
James W. Foster, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the APG Network,
the world’s largest organization for airline distribution services, announced
that TAME AIRLINES of Ecuador has joined the Airlines Reporting
Corporation (America’s “Area Settlement Plan”) as a participating carrier
effective 25 March, 2013. Eduardo Baquero, a member of APG’s Board of
Directors introduced TAME to the AACP program.
The Ecuadorian airline was founded in 1962 and is headquartered in
Quito, Ecuador. TAME provides air transportation for passengers and
cargo to numerous cities in Ecuador, in addition to Cali in Columbia and
Panama City in Panama. They also offer seasonal flights to Cartagena,
San Andres, Punta Cana, Jamaica, Varadero and Curacao. They will
begin flights to JFK in New York later in 2013.
TAME has elected the General Concurrence method of agent
appointment, whereby all ARC agents are automatically appointed as
agents of TAME unless specifically advised to the contrary by the carrier.
At this time, TAME accepts cash as the only form of payment. TAME is
offering 5% sales commission on published fare to ARC accredited agents
on all tickets issued on their stock (EQ/269).
