Joana has extensive experience in transport law and international transportation, and was the Executive President of the Portuguese Freight Forwarders Association up until 2018. Her latest role was as Multimodal Manager of the International Federation of the Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA). For three years she was also involved in the IATA FIATA Air Cargo Program, which gave her a good insight of the air cargo industry.
